Kent Borges is a retired commercial attorney and has lived in Colorado Springs since 1988. He has been active in the community and has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations. While appreciating many different musical genres, having grown up in Chicago in the 1960’s and early 1970’s, the Blues have always been a special favorite.

Randy is a long time Colorado Springs musician and blues fan. He has been a part of the Pikes Peak Blues Community for many years, holding a number of volunteer and board positions. Randy moved to the Springs in 1983 and retired a few years ago from a career as a semiconductor engineer, finally allowing time for playing the music he loves. He currently plays saxophone, guitar and harp with his music partner Steve Shwen in the blues duo Old School Cool.

John is a recent arrival in the Springs and jumped right into the music scene. He’s a lifelong musician on the lute, guitar, and a few other instruments as well as a lover of blues and many other genres. He’s currently trying to figure out how to build a harpsichord.

Ron was introduced to the life of music before his teens, as a percussionist and guitarist. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1991 and retired in 2010 as a Department Executive Director. He performed at the Fox Theater, Colorado Springs Balloon Festival, Stargazers, and various night clubs. He has also visited countries in West Africa, to learn and teach the authentic rhythms of the Motherland. During the mid-2000s he completed his first blues CD entitled “III Decades” with the band “Cous and the Brotherhood” and performs with the band Reminiscent Souls.

Randy moved to Colorado Springs in 1999. He has been a teacher for 40 years and recently retired as a wrestling coach for 35 years and after 20 years alternating between coaching softball and volleyball. He currently teaches Social Studies at The Bijou School for District 11 on the Wasson Campus. Randy joined the Pikes Peak Blues Community 10 years ago and decided to step into a leadership role this year. He enjoys playing guitar and dabbles with songwriting. He has a great passion for studying the history of blues, its influence on musical genres throughout time, and sharing that knowledge with anyone who is eager to learn.

Teri Senior is active participant in the blues and Americana local music scene, playing and promoting with her own projects Hoodoo Honey, Ranger Station and Momma Tried along with other local acts. Teri began playing harmonica and percussion as a child, feeling vibration since she is hearing impaired. She began her music endeavors in Asbury Park NJ and has worked with various musicians over the years in different states and the UK. When Teri settled in Colorado in 2016 she started attending the blues jam at Benny’s, becoming familiar with the majority of local musicians and venues. Teri taught history for grades 7 and 8 for special education until 2016. She writes short stories and poetry under the pen name Peaceowl and ran a percussion workshop teaching hand drumming skills to all ages until 2019. At the end of Covid Teri became more active with the blues, helping promote it in Colorado Springs area with Spencer Promotions, the Summer Sizzle Festival, hosting blues jams at Back East Bar and Grill and volunteering with Blues on the Mesa. In 2024 Teri became Secretary of the Pikes Peak Blues Community board of directors. She also manages the PPBC social media sites and works to organize special events.

Jackie McGee is our newest board member! Jackie has recently retired from a very long career in the corporate world. She now spends her time teaching yoga, hiking, reading and, of course, volunteering part time for the Blues Community. She has a wonderful husband, Jim, and is a dog mom to a chihuahua, Buddy. You will love her enthusiasm and we hope you will welcome her to the team.

Marcia Frye Cox
Marcia is a Realtor in Colorado Springs and has been in sales over most of her career. She moved to Colorado from the Midwest in 1973 and loves the lifestyle, weather, sunshine and activities it has to offer. She is involved in many outdoor activities including camping, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, skiing… She enjoys listening to and attending live music venues of many genres but specifically partial to the Blues!
Mark Qualls
Mark is a retired History teacher. He has been a longtime friend of PPBC. He believes live music and meals have great unifying effects.
Lori Ellis

Shane is a retired physics professor and aspiring blues guitarist. He moved to Colorado Springs and taught astronomy and physics at the Air Force Academy before moving to Colorado College in 2000. He also started playing guitar in 2000 and developed a love for playing the blues.
